No experience Jet boat driving? No worries. Our current drivers are super skilled & can’t wait to teach you the ins & outs of working White-water in a Jet Boat! Have experience? Rapids Jet, is New Zealand’s only commercial white water jet boat ride & is proudly rated no.1 boating activity on Tripadvisor for over 10 years & now, you too can be no.1 along with us, providing amazing memories & thrills for your manuhiri (guests) to remember for life! What You’ll Do:
- Drive high-powered jet boats on the Waikato River with skill, safety, and excitement
- Maintain high safety standards and perform daily checks on vessels
- Deliver engaging, informative, and entertaining commentary to our guests
- Work rostered 5-day weeks. Working weekends and public holidays (this is tourism – we work when the fun happens!)
- Share knowledge surrounding local Māori culture, our whenua, and our Iwi – proudly owned and operated by Tauhara North no.2 Trust.
- Basic office tasks such as email enquiries & booking system (rezdy).
- Knowing your way around a life jacket.
- Pitch in with the team to keep operations smooth and guests smiling.
Who You Are:
- Excellent communicator – you’ll need to tell a great story and keep passengers engaged
- Confident completing basic computer tasks – Microsoft, Emails, etc.
- A team player who gets along with others and works hard while having a good time
- Mechanically minded – a basic understanding of engines & jet boats is a big bonus
- Drug and alcohol-free – passing a pre-employment & random testing
