Job Description
We’re looking for a reliable and hard-working Kitchen Assistant & Cleaner to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Assist chefs with basic food preparation
Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and food prep areas
Perform general cleaning duties (floors, bins, surfaces, etc.)
Ensure hygiene and safety standards are met at all times
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential)
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays
Desire to be apart of a Kaupapa Maori Organisation
Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in all aspects of service.
