Job Description
We are looking for passionate, confident, and culturally grounded Cultural Hosts to join our whānau and bring our stories, tikanga, and traditions to life!
Cultural hosts support our guests during their time by sharing key information, basic tikanga of Te Pā Tū ushering during their experience – ensuring manuhiri feel comfortable and safe in our environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
Your Role as a Cultural Host:
Welcome and guide manuhiri with warmth and manaakitanga
Share elements of Māori culture – haka, waiata, pūrākau (storytelling), protocol
Support the delivery of our immersive cultural experience
Ensure guests leave inspired, connected, and with a deeper understanding of te ao Māori
Experience:
Confident communicators
Passion for te ao Māori and tikanga Māori
Strong team players with high energy and a great attitude
Reliable, punctual, and committed to excellence in cultural integrity
Previous guiding or hospitality experience welcomed
Confident singer or haka experience is helpful, but not a must!
